Don't think I mentioned it on your thread, but congrats with the new airline. I'm not sure how much flying around the Middle East I'll be doing, but I'll definatly keep an eye out for Nile Air .
Hey all, I know I have not stayed very involved with the boards lately, although I have tried to stay active flying, especially around the time that Northwest was closing and trying to get as many flights out as possible. My last flight was KLM682 CYVR-EHAM, flown on 04/16/2010 on the PMDG MD-11. I ...
I've just joined up with http://www.panamva.com/ They just recently changed their site around to having all old airliners - the newest airliner they have is the A310. So, the pro for me is the retro airlines and not to mention keeping alive the Pan American experience that I was a part of and never ...
This section is great, Aaron. It's interesting to see where SimAirline.net came from before I joined, and remember how it came along while I was a member. I don't know if this was ever decided, but was there a choice on what German airline would take Air Berlin's place after that closure? Just curio...
I noticed this quite by accident a few nights ago with NWA802 - at night I change the settings of my flight tracker to include Northwest flights and noticed a 747 going from PHNL to KATL. It is strange to see a delta flight on the Skyteam timetable that lists the operator as Northwest.
Hey all, Well, one of the advantages to working midnight shift is I can add Northwest Airlines to my flightview filter at work without anybody knowing about it :) Anways, I noticed this flight a few nights ago and again tonight. NW901 KORD PANC H/B742/Q 10:11 15:42 Anybody know what this is? I thoug...
Hey all, I have a question about RNAV approaches, mainly because I tried one of these approaches on my last flight (probably not at the best time to try this, because I was just a little above the landing minimums for the approach). I guess I just have a hard time getting RNAV in my head. Are these ...
I love the paint job. I have a bunch of planes loaded on my sim in that KLM livery, for that reason. It's shocking how changing the paint around can make a plane actually look older.
Starting small would be my advice too. I started flight simming without any lessons on FS98 and I had to use the "getting started" section of FS2004 to really get off the ground.
Same here - especally when I was an interim manager. I chose Skopje, Macedonia because my girlfriend's family is Macedonian and I know a lot about the country but not many others do. Thessonoliki, Greece was because I saw it on the destination page and it looked interesting and Lexington, KY was bec...
Mostly - I look at the screenshots section of the boards to look for cool or unusual screenshots. Something like the one I took where a 777 is standing off against a cessna on the taxiway. That's a great place for a story to be fully explained and for other pilots to add their input or other experie...
Wow. This is a pretty one-sided argument. For me - I'm a McDonnell Douglas fan - so I guess that would put me with Boeing. Also, I love the 727. Other than that - I'm neutral in this argument - both airline companies make a good point either way. Let me point that your questions have bias in them, s...
