Re: Where do you plan on going after closing?

I still will remain a member of my first VA http://pacificairways.net/. However, I have so many more planes in my FS that I will most likely join another VA, similiar to Simairline.net.

It was a pleasure flying with all of you. I really would like to keep flying for this VA but I guess the time has come for others to move on to other things. Here's my last PIREP, 30 Apr 2010 Atlanta, GA Buffalo, NY 2315 0100 1:45 DL1536 MD-88. I wanted to do a whole lot of flights this month since ...

Re: how did you come to simairline?

Back in fall 2005 my first VA had retired a plane that I still wanted to fly, the 737-400 and I was looking for a VA with it. I was also looking for a VA with the 777-300ER and I came across Simairline.net. I saw Alaska and All Nippon I was excited and decided to join.

I usually just go to the other PC in the Living room and watch some youtube or surfweb from the FS pc. But it all depends on how long the flight is. My flights vary from 1 hr to 13 hrs etc.....

Actually, that is the only reason I joined the other VA. I fly a flight, it gets tracked, and I file it on both DVA and simairline.net. I don't think this would be considered cheating, would it? It would only be questionable if you tried to carry over hours that were double credited to a virtual ai...

Ya I love flying the CLS A300 600R for Thai. Just did several legs. They have many 1-2 hour flight over there. Check the domestic route map for short hops and the international route map for long medium hauls. Together with the star alliance timetable and the route maps you can find any reasonable f...

I would suggest you get FS timekeeper, that way whenever you fly internationally you can keep your FS time synched to real world time. You can never get lost. I fly VATSIM and use server info's world clock so I never get lost. This world is huge and very easy to get time screwed.

I used to fly with crash damage enabled before joining VATSIM. But I disabled it before VATSIM because the smallest bump will cause a crash message. So I said screw it. Then after joining VATSIM I enabled it again to see what it would be like, curious if a multi player plane can cause a crash, I was...

After summer 04 at UCLA and Fall 04 at CSLA I started flight simming. Then the simming got me into working towrds my PPL but it turned out to be too expensive after about few weeks of flying I was cold broke. So I sim mostly now. Will work towards ATPL later down the line.

I first got FS2004 in aug 2004 and has been flying since then. I took me about a few days to learn to fly the heavies but that was only to get the plane in the air. I still needed way more practice. After a week I bought a joystick. FS9 was my first flight simulator.
