SAA stopping in Dakar?
Just curious, if anyone here knows why South African Airways stops in Dakar when flying from Washington Dulles to Johannesburg? The route itself is 7,068NM according to Great Circle Mapper, which should be no problem for the A340-600, with a range of 7,900NM. Also, at MTOW the Airbus says that the A...

Re: Spotted on AVSIM
Ding, Ding, Ding, we have a winner!Probably not true, they're probably just lazy

I'm extremely frustrated, the 777 is by far my favorite plane, and I've been wanting PMDG to come out with one. Finally, they have, but only for FSX

Very nice shots Brandon! I'm a little biased though; in my payware hanger, the Level-D is a personal favorite
Just a suggestion to add some realism, try checking out Turbine Sound Studios, they have some absolutely superb 767 sounds!

Re: Trying FSX
I've been saving up for the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens from Canon, but once I saw that PMDG is making a 777 for FSX, maybe I'll build myself an FSX ready computer. I have about $1200 right now, only $400 away from the lens. But for $1200 I could build myself a damn good computer... I ...

If you're coming into South America Alex, may I suggest a flight to Quito, Ecuador. At 9,228ft it's always a good time

How to edit an aircraft's fuel burn
Hey all, Just wondering if anyone knew how to edit the fuel burn of an aircraft in FS2004? Is it have something to due with the airfile or the cfg? The reason I'm asking, is because I have the Level-D panel merged with the Posky 757. I love the merge, the only problem is I'm guzzling gas like a 767 ...

Active Sky 6.5 Turbulence Question
I was noticing the other day that the air was rather calm, on every single one of my flights :( I know most of the time you have a few bumps during climbout and descent, as well as in cruise so, I was wondering, how exactly do you turn on the turbulence for AS? Also, does it download winds aloft to ...

Couldn't agree more! Absolutely amazing show as a whole, especially the pyrotechnics. That is a tradition in our household, to go to the concert as a sort of family christmas present. Found this video on youtube of a an Aeroflot 767, I believe, taking off from Hong Kong in some nasty weather. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb7Mkw9_ ... re=related Anyone ever had a flight like this? Also, look at the ailerons on the take-off roll, hows that for crosswind correction?
