Re: Need some Help!!
Yes, tried this and a few other tricks! But other than reducing the speed from the AP and then slamming on the brakes when I hit the runway, there is really no other way to get the plane stopped. And I'm sure you know how difficult it is to try to reduce the speed to 0 (mouse) while landing and tryi...

Need some Help!!
Hey Guys, I wonder if anyone can help me out with this problem: I have the Posky ERJ-145 and use the great Bill Grabowski panel. However, when I have an extended trip and use the autopilot for an extended time it seems that the throttle gets stuck. I can control it from the speed bugs for the approa...

Re: Windows Vista -> Windows 7
Trust me, I didn't have to do a single thing. When I upgraded from 32-bit, the install automatically backed up all of my old program files into a directory called windows.old. All I needed to do from that point on was to reinstall each program's basic components and then copy the program files over...

Re: Continental 2960
Nothing escapes you, Tim? The truth is I was coming in way too fast and I was afraid I was going to blow past the localizer. I only had one other flight with the ERJ and I was still not used to the way it handled. I brought the gear down earlier to slow down and had the spoilers up. It seemed...

Re: LAX gets a $1.5B Expansion
Nice! I do like a good air bridge at an airport. Agreed! DEN, LGW...who else? This surely will be the largest! Gatwick.....what a memory!! Once flew BA out of there just so I can take a look out of that bridge. Incredible site!! :o http://www.oasys-software.com/support/events/user_group_2006/presen...

Re: LAX gets a $1.5B Expansion
And California can afford this? Most likely not right now, but it looks like they are expecting to raise money by increasing airport revenues, charging everyone and everything that lands or departs from there!! In other words "Welcome to Hollywood - Now give us your money"!! :rolling: I'm sure the ...

Re: Pilot crashes plane into Austin, TX IRS building
Every day in this and other countries people get murdered by the use of a firearm. In many instances the user kills himself after murdering innocent bystanders because he considers them responsible for his/her predicament. Yet I hardly see our politicians coming out on the news networks to discuss t...

Re: Pilot crashes plane into Austin, TX IRS building
Tim, Just wanted to say I read your blog posting and I could not agree more with all the points you make. As a PPL holder myself and a member of AOPA for more than 7 years now, the question of more restrictions and user fees to GA has been coming up every so often by people who have no idea what GA ...

Re: Looking for these WOAI Packages
Chris,
You are absolutely correct. Sorry for the misinformation.
I personally don't like PAI but I do my own AI anyway for packages WOAI doesn't have. Just offered it as an option, cause it does have an installer.

Re: Looking for these WOAI Packages
Try Project AI site . They have a good amount of the packages you are looking for but keep in mind, that they are not as fresh as the World AI packages. Some of them haven't been updated since '07, but at least you don't have to create your own AI if you are not familiar how. Oh...and they do have ...

Re: what the heck is slowing down flight simulator?
Uncheck the Megacity scenery from your scenery library without taking it out completely and reboot. I had a similar problem with Mega Scenery NY and I ended taking out completely because it was slowing the entire system down, even when not flying anywhere near NY. Let us know if it works better afte...

I don't know if any of you got a glimpse of this new livery by a South-African low fare airline? This is a real livery and not FS, although I have a feeling we will start seeing it soon at all the download sites. http://blog.flightstory.net/1472/kulula-air-with-new-funny-livery/ IMO, whoever thought...

Does that mean you only accept aviation related professionals as your "connections"? Only got a PPL and this website that are directly related to aviation. I've been on LinkedIn for more than a year now. Can't stand Facebook! If I haven't kept in touch with you all these years after HS why would I w...
