Things to do in Seattle
This will go by a LONG time without a formal reply but I thought, what the heck? So, I MAY go to Seattle in January as part of the American Meteorological Society meeting where students and professionals discuss papers and such. Since I didn't submit my paper, I was not selected to go, but I have so...

Re: Got my ticket!
That's it! I'm definitely going to call a local aviation school and go get my license. Gotta give credit to my engineering economic analysis professor for urging me to do so!
BTW, congrats Decker. Will I someday listen over PA a welcome aboard message from captain Loyd?

Re: POSKY releases 747-8F!
Posky does have an update for their cfg files. I remember downloading it for a Virgin 744, and if I'm not mistaken, the update should be linked to the Virgin download page.
EDIT: found it. Here's the Avsim download link. http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=121458

Re: SimAirline.net Farewell Event - Report & Pictures!
Well, unless Oregon has regulations where only people of 25+ years of age can rent car, I might be able to do somethings, though at a little fee.Good luck renting a car until you're 25. Sucks.

Re: SimAirline.net Farewell Event - Report & Pictures!
Let's thank the UPR student strike for this...I missed it. Last week I was still finishing my second semester. As a matter of fact, my last final exam was yesterday. Anyway, I'm glad you guys had a great time, and when my second part of my research stipend arrives, I'll set aside around $500 in orde...

Re: CO 767-400 Vs. DL a330?
After seeing the configuration, since I don't like the 2-4-2 layout that DL's A330s have, I would go with CO. Their 2-3-2 layout would be much bearable. But that's just me.

Well, you weren't the only one who was expecting to meet people. At any rate, keep me posted as to when and where the next convention will be held. I won't jinx myself by saying "I will be there" even though that's what I plan on doing eventually.

I have his card from Northwest, definitely looked better next to the N.  Now that I remember I also have his card, but I don't know where I put it. I bought a NW safety card from him and I have no idea on where it is. Add that my mom decided to clean my room, I'm even more lost as to...

Re: US delivers yet again
I'm glad you finally got the placement in the end. So many times there was risk of it not happening, but you finally got it in the end. Phew...that was one that almost got away, but I'm glad everything turned out fine in the end...the strike thing is what I'm still not happy about, especially when ...

Re: US delivers yet again
The baggage issue was more an issue with the airport. The airlines here don't have a ground crew, save AA/AE. Rather, they pay services to GMD (Ground Motive Dependable airline services) who load the bags, pushback and tow the aircraft, and help with the ground operations.

Re: US delivers yet again
I need to post pictures of the thunderstorm. I was in the lavatory and I was about to have a word with the flight attendants when all of the sudden the captain comes on the PA asking to remain the seats as there would be some turbulence. Not one minute had passed after I put on my seatbelt when the ...

US delivers yet again
Six weeks went by in the blink of an eye (poetry...). I had gone to the Memphis Zoo, Mississippi State University, the Memphis Flight Center, Memphis Airport Tower, Beale Street, Graceland, Mud Island...I could go on and on. Before I knew it, July 17th arrived and it was time to head back home. Afte...

Re: SimAirline.net Farewell Event Planning
Yeh, Murphy's Law beat me. Germany's off and convention is off. Gotta thank the students of the UPR for going on strike and messing up everything (college owes me some $$$ which I was planning on using to go there). Alas, it'll be until next year (possibly).

US SJU-CLT-MEM
Around mid April I was sent an email that I had been selected for an internship with the National Weather Service in Memphis, TN. You can imagine how excited I was. I had never been selected for an internship and it would be my real first trip to the US (I had been to Orlando, but I mean come on…The...

Re: SimAirline.net Farewell Event Planning
There's always something that comes up...Murphy's Law and I apparently go hand in hand. There's now a 50% chance I won't make it there. An uncle of mine that lives in Germany has invited my grandma over and the family wants me to go with her. My mom said that if I decide to go to Germany, then I can...

Re: Where are You on your Logbook
Since Saturday will be THE day I will leave all my FS stuff behind I will fly my scheduled flight SJU-CLT-MEM all on US.
Gotta be on the lookout as there might be a short trip to Germany coming up. Could this summer get any better?

Re: What kind of pets do you have?
Since they insist, we now have a two month old cat named Terry. We sorta rescued her since her mother literally left her alone in our garage. When we brought her back, the mother wouldn't take her so we decided to keep her with us.
