Thanks for the help guys. I think the escape routes are only on smaller planes that do not have inflateable rafts like a 747 or 777. I m guessing if there is an emergency the wing will be low enough to step onto the ground from.

Unusual Wing Textures

I do not know if this is a stupid question, but what are those arrows on a white background near the fuselage on the top side of the wing? Some aircraft have them, while others don't. They look like escape routes from the doors above the wing, but are they meant to be there?

I got FS9 about a month ago and have only bothered on adding planes. I find that my computer can handle the scenery pretty well if all settings are maximum. I will consider adding key areas such as airports that I fly to frequently and landmarks and things like the grand canyon, in the future.
