Re: The Dawn of a New Day

Unfortunately I did not keep a personal logbook initially, so my flights prior to the current iteration of SimAirline's logbooks have disappeared (unless Aaron has them hiding away somewhere). They are available upon request (except for a small two-month gap between computer crashes), and assuming ...

Re: But Mr. Aaron.....

Great Lakes Airlines never had anything at all to do with the REAL Great Lakes. The "Great Lakes" in the airline's name come from the Great Lakes area of Iowa. True, the airline's name is not from the Great Lakes most of us know. But it still had plenty to do with the region after purchasing Allian...

There was not, but I'll be discussing that question in a future article. Look for it!

Where do you plan on going after closing?

We are now in the final weeks of SimAirline.net. Many of you have doubtless started looking for new organizations, and many have not yet thought about it. We will be releasing a list of suggested VAs upon closing, but in the meantime, I encourage you to share here where you will be moving to. May I ...

Re: Delta B767 landing practice in BTL

Battle Creek is somewhat unusual in that it is an offline station, so no personnel are around in case of a problem. We carried extra landing gear parts and stocked additional tires at DTW and MSP in preparation for additional cycles. We may also have carried a mechanic on board...

They have been at Toledo and Rochester, MN as well. Training familiarization for (domestic?) Northwest 757 pilots. I was in some meetings on this over the last few months. Battle Creek is news to me though.

Re: First HA A332

Sad why? Odd why? If you're referring to the Boeing aspect, Hawaiian has only flown Boeing for nine years. In contrast, Douglas was in for over 60. In the larger scheme, Boeings at Hawaiian are an oddity.

Closing Section - Like It?

So far I have posted three articles in the Closing section sharing the history of SimAirline.net, but haven't heard any feedback. Do you like these articles? Do you find them interesting? Please let me know. Unfortunately, it's the lack of response or activity that has so often killed things here.
