Re: Whom do you want to see win the Super Bowl?

Had the Vikings won, we would have seen an additional Northwest hub for a few days--Miami would have had seven Northwest widebodies (three from IND, four from MSP).

Re: SAA stopping in Dakar?

South African has had a few different combinations and strategies over the last few years to the U.S.: -nonstop from both CPT and JNB, but splitting frequencies -via SID from JNB, stopping for fuel westbound only -via DKR from JNB, stopping in both directions -via DKR from JNB, stopping westbound on...

Re: Chasing the Sun

The dep / arr times are 1700 / 1750, so clearly I am not 'doing a Concorde' and travelling backward in time. Not entirely related, but keep in mind that time zones are artificial constructs. It could have easily been 1700 / 1650, but you might not have flown faster than the sun. While we're on the ...

Re: Happy 2010! AA/AC/CO/DL/NW/UA/YX!

Thanks everyone! Is it me or has the amount of viewing/replying to screenshots drastically decreased in the past months? So much that I have not been able to add any screenshots to the Galleries in over a month. Well you can have the Continental 757-300, Delta 764s in ATL and the Northwest DC9. The...

Airline Lounges

Following on to this topic , does anyone have airline lounge memberships? I bought a Delta Sky Club membership this past year, and it has been well worth it. The benefit is not so much in the free snacks, alcohol, or meals (ATL-E, JFK, and international partners only), but in the internet access and...

Re: Anyone on LinkedIn?

I just...connected you. Not sure how to properly say it since I just joined. I just started my first co-op two days ago at a place called JDA, an aviation consulting firm. I'm not 100% sure what my duties will be since we're still establishing that, so there's no duties listed under my current job....

Please send me an email as we get close to closing with your request and what format you would like. However, the best thing would be to download one in mid-March (winter) and then in late April (summer).

Re: ANA buys 10 Boeing jets

ANA has bought 5 767-300ERs and 5 777-200ERs. It's quite interesting because both of these lines are not receiving many orders, what with the 767 being replaced by the 787 and the 777-200ER being shadowed by orders for its larger variant, the 777-300ER. Many of the 767 orders placed since the 787's...

Re: Copa Airlines orders additional two 737-800s

Not a comment on this specific order, but more on Copa's overall ordering strategy. It is refreshing to find an airline that places add-on orders on an incremental basis like Copa has done over the last few years. Ordering a large add-on tranche at one time may lower your average cost, but it is not...
