Re: Pilot Log Book

Not hard... http://www.simairline.net/upload/flight_history.xls It's quite easy to make it complicated and have it auto-calculate flight lengths, automatically fill in details, etc. That's fine if you want to just have the facts. But I want the nice layout and the logos that we have on our SA.net l...

Re: Solo

I also have a plan set in concrete for next year: Upgrade to full-time at my job (New World supermarket department manager), use my pay to fund as many flying lessons as possible (estimated $8000 for PPL), then begin planning a path toward CPL. However, I couldn't imagine any worse way to achieve fl...

Re: Pilot Log Book

I've just been using a Word table for my personal logbook. I tried in Excel, but it doesn't want my little airline logos. They always disappear when I close it. The only problem with Word is slow load times compared to Excel and it doesn't have the features. It would be good if someone could post an...

Re: Solo

I don't think you can get anyone to guarantee you anything (except the fact you'll pay taxes). Those recruiters will sell anything to get you in. Dennis will probably become a pilot and do it in the Air Force, with hard work. Dennis could have a 4th option for learning to fly: Get a job to pay for ...

Re: Color coding in timetable

I didnt know that I have always gotten on planes with hot engines at the gate well I will adjust and over come. Thanks for the reply. How many times have you flown on an aircraft then?! Every time I have flown, the engines start once you are well seated and have waited for all the cargo to be loade...

Funny you should say that actually, as WoAI recently released Smugglers AI which contains flights of smuggling groups.

As I said, just post the link to the file on here. I am assuming it's on a website (i.e. Avsim).

Would you believe that page took over 4 minutes to load, and the video hadn't even started to load by that time.
I hate it how third-party news sites have such pathetic advertising all over them.
I was hoping for a JPG, but I finally saw the image, thanks.

Re: Fashion Statement: Winglets

777-300ER and 767-400ER's have fabulous raked wing tips, so will the 787 and 748i.

I also like the 767's new blended winglets, especially those on Air New Zealand's aircraft.

It's the most stylish of all the alliance liveries, IMO. Oneworld = Big ONEWORLD logo. Nothing special. Star Alliance = Plain and uninteresting. But it's SILVER!!! Gahh Silver aircraft look horrible IMO, such as NW's new livery and now this alliance livery. I like the old SA livery, it incorporated...

Re: Continental jet makes emergency landing

What emergency landing? What's the point in posting a news topic if you don't know about it? You could have looked it up for yourself, instead you get everyone else to go off and do it.

And FYI, the last CO emergency landing I can find record of it Sep 25, an ERJ landed at Omaha, NB.

Re: Engine volume question

He's right, there's nothing in the CFG for volume. You're stuck with adjusting FS for this flight.
Open up an engine sound file for the HJG and one for a 767 or something and see if their volume really is different.
You could also ask the author for ideas.
