Re: New Years flights?

That sounds really awesome!

Nothing special but last night on VATSIM the entire East Coast stepped away from their mics for about 5 minutes on average (an estimation) while we all went to watch the ball drop in NYC. Pretty cool leaving a 744F at FL340 to go watch the year change.

Re: Failed Terror attack onboard Delta/Northwest

In this case, the Netherlands should have done something here. But again, if there's no information available, then the Netherlands wouldn't have been able to do much. TSA is not to blame here since TSA operates in the US (and its territories). If a flight is in US airspace and originated elsewhere...

Re: Interesting Routings?

Most of El Al's flights into Tel Aviv set you up for the transition into RWY 12, which is always convenient. That being said, most of El Al's long hauls in general have strange routes due to the restrictions over El Al flights in Arabian airspace (and other countries like Somalia, Lebanon, etc.). Or...

Re: Where are You on your Logbook

En route TNT 014 Liege-Hong Kong in a 747-400ERF. My first flight with the freighter version of the wonderful PMDG 747. Then continuing the trip from Hong Kong over to Singapore as TNT 26, back to HK as 27, and then finally back to Liege as 15. Whew, I'll need some rest in Singapore...

Re: KIAD- KBOS with United!

That's one good looking vehicle...maybe I should learn another foreign language so I can do that too (joke about airplanes while flying... ) Maybe you and I should do that on a flight that doesn't involve two Spanish speaking destinations (like Paris to London if we could both ever figure out...

Re: My share & comments about SimAirline.net's closure in April

Thanks guys :) Been busy the past few weeks, had my A320 theory exams last week, and passed both (Performance & Systems). Had already 20hrs on full motion simulator and got my skill test this coming Friday. Last Thursday I visited the A320 assembly facility here in Toulouse :) What an amazing exper...

Re: UA orders 50 aircraft, 100 purchase rights

United does have the oldest 777-200s which are now approaching 15 years old. First delivered in 1995, United has the original 777-200 non-ERs with Pratts and those could definitely use a replacement when available. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Cathay Pacific has the oldest original 7...
