Why doesn't the default Beech Baron have a VOR1 indicator???

As I get into practicing ILS approaches, I would like to upgrade my equipment (tired of flying less than 100 knots in the Cessna 172 :P ) As I fired up my Beech Baron, I realized that the Baron has no VOR1 indicator. Do I not see it? Or is there only one in the Cessna? Any help will be appreciated :D.

Re: CO pilot dies over the atlantic

Well, then they tryed to say "it's a miracle that the FO landed on the ground with the relief pilot safely." Really? The FO could have landed the plane without the relief pilot even there! The people that write these reports either don't know a clue about anything that goes on with aviation, or they...

Re: CO pilot dies over the atlantic

I wouldn't be surprised if the media had someone listening to New York Area ATC for stuff just like this, wouldn't be surprised at ALL. That would be really sick if it was true :( . If you ask me, all the media does for aviation is give the general public a chance to insult Boeing and Continental a...

Got a quick question about FRAPS.......

Ok, so I got fraps, turned it on and was wondering. How do you get that FPS counter off of your game screen while your recording? Any help would be appreciated :) .

Re: AF447 Rio De Janerio - Paris A330-200 missing over Atlantic

Yes, I know all that. I'm not sure if any of you understood my question... (It's probably my fault for not being clear enough) What I was meaning to ask is have they used sonar or any other equipment to find out the depth? If not, then how can anyone know what depth of the wreckage? Yes they have u...

Re: AF447 Rio De Janerio - Paris A330-200 missing over Atlantic

I don't think that is a real depth. Probably looked at surveys that were taken in that area, and made a guess. There are actually little robot submersibles that can grab the box. That didn't stop divers from slicing a piece from the hull of Titanic and bringing it to New York (all while on the subs,...

I'm in. I'v always wanted to make videos supporting the spirt of commerical flight. If somebody would please send me the FRAPS product key, I'll get started on my first one. Great idea! Re: AF447 Rio De Janerio - Paris A330-200 missing over Atlantic

How are they going to retrieve just the black box? They're not going to send a diver team down, and sure as heck not going to put a two man sub into something like that.

Re: AF447 Rio De Janerio - Paris A330-200 missing over Atlantic

Well, the problem is now there saying they can't find it because it's trapped in the twisted metal wreck that is the fuselage. They've also got a French sub scanning the water for the black box.

Anuj wrote:Wow ! I hope they find the black box/CVR.
Even if they did find it, it would be too damaged by the seawater to get any information out of it. My therory is they flew too fast through that huge storm cloud, and probably windsheared into the sea.

Re: FSX Auto pilot problems

I am guessing that you have FS set to display KTAS instead of KIAS. Whenever I fly a 737 (default or otherwise) at M.078, the airspeed typically comes in around 270 knots and I almost never have a problem arriving late. Yeah, I think I have it set to that. I mean, it's not really that big of a deal...

Re: FSX Auto pilot problems

When I fly, I put 475 into the SPEED hold. If that's KIAS or KTAS, I don't know. That really shows me how unrealistic even Microsoft's own aircraft are if they're faster than the real thing  .

Re: FSX Auto pilot problems

="RatherBFlyin"]Umm, 475 KIAS is way too fast for cruise speed. A 737NG typically cruises around M.078, which is approximately 270-280 KIAS at FL350. Are you referring to True Air Speed? True air speed is used for performance calculations, but never used by the autopilot, and never displayed on the...

Re: FSX Auto pilot problems

I have had so many problems with FSX's autopilot it's not even funny. I think I have a soulution for you. First off never increase the speed more than 250 knots below 11,000 feet. Once you get past 11,000 feet (this is what I do), increase speed to 350 KIAS (I realize that it is too fast to go until...
