HI! Tonight I searched for a new VA and I found nothing that compares to SimAirline. I cannot begin to explain how incredible this VA really is. The choices, the ease of access, the training, the unique resources, the boards, the downloads, and so much more really make this a wonderful VA. This site and its members are truly special.

I am deeply saddened that the management staff has chosen to end the VA. However, I understand how crazy managing a VA like this must be and I am sure the management staff will enjoy living their real lives too.

To everyone that has contributed, thank you!! I cannot wait to see what happens in the coming months. If there is anything I can do, I will be happy to assist in any way I can.

Hey, mostly a lurker here... I flew for SimAirline back in the summer of 2008 and part of the '08-'09 winter... Over the past year-plus, I've become inactive due to a series of moves/job changes/computer changes.

I've recently been getting the jones for flight simming again, so I thought I'd drop in and see what was up over here... Lo and behold, I find you folks are closing up shop in a couple months.

So, let me extend a sincere thank you to all the staff, past and present, who made this place a reality... It's by far the most laid-back virtual airline I've ever found (in terms of mandatory pilot activity and VATSIM and whatnot, NOT enthusiasm (you folks top the enthusiasm of plenty of places))... For someone like myself, a young professional with a job that sucks up a LOT of my time, the less uptight-serious attitude exhibited here was always very enjoyable.

Though I've been far less active than many members here and though it's been a while since I've flown for SimAirline, I'll still miss it.

Thank you, all.

:)

I'm glad you enjoyed your time with us! Remember, there are still 3 or so months left, so keep flying those virtual skies!

Shocking news to say the least.

Simairline.net has been one of the best communities i have seen in the VA world. But i do understand were Aaron is coming from, and i fully support his decision. It is a hard job, it is a job that does tie someone down, it is a lot of responsibility. I run a Virtual airline myself now, and while hardly as big as simairline.net, it is stressing to say the least, you are essentially volunteering your life for others enjoyment - and after a while that arise questions.

Simairline has been very ambitious, the amount of airlines when i first signed up was large already. To be honest we should of thought of limiting it at that. Aaron and the Simairline team gave us chances to support the airline, their were always positions open, but it seems that didn't work. So we can't blame anyone here. I truly hope something still continues in the simairline name, at least the messageboards were we have made many new friends.

Viva Simairline!
