You need to get your priorities sorted, as well as some patience.

You don't tell me what to do. I am NOT arrogant, and I am NOT demanding instant access to post! You shouldn't even be judging me!

I know it takes time, but I don't want to wait for an eternity just to ask a simple question. It's like mailing in a form, waiting for a reply. SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. No one likes slow. Why do we have Broadband and FiOS? We don't like slow. Why do we have airliners that go 600mph? We don't like slow. The only thing that should stay slow is a pot roast.

Airliners go fast because they can, but there are downsides, such as reduced range and more fuel consumption.

The message boards don't have admin approval because this allow people to join and post immediately. Great, but the downside it SPAM.
I know which one I would like to get rid of, and that's the spam.

You all are arguing about something that's not possible. When we talk about admin approval we're saying an administrator has to approve someone's registration before they can post NOT approve every post. That is not possible on this message board system anyway.

Sam, Chris - COOL IT.

Part of the problem this week is that I've been on vacation and I've been on the boards at most twice a day.

Also, I've been a lot less active in the last month. I'm one of the moderators, too, and I delete a lot of spam.

So with two moderators less active than normal, yes the spam is going to be more visible. Sorry about that and we'll try our best to be on more when we're less busy with other things.

Yup, same. Halloween and a weekend away from home. Just haven't been on the boards lately to moderate.

I'm at school or somewhere most of the day. When I get a gap between classes I try to get on to clean things out.

Ok, but you aren't a moderator so I don't see how that's going to help... :?

I was going to mention that. Maybe we should make some pilots moderators who come from the west. Perhaps the UK (cough, Warwick). 8)

I never realised that you were from around here. Weird how most of the UK simairline members are from the Midlands. :?

Maybe they should have a moderator in some different time zones because I see a lot when I come on and most of the mods will either be away or asleep...

Maybe I should just go to a different country...

Just kidding

Moderators are chosen from the ranks of current and past management, and only people who fully understand the policies and practices of SimAirline.net and its Message Boards. While moderators from around the globe would be a positive, the unfortunate reality is that the vast majority of our historic management base is from the U.S.
