Post by aman13 » 16 Jun 2009, 21:12

Hi, I have a question, can you go into safe mode on windows vista an still use wireless internet. I have tried starting safemode with networking, however it still doesn't work.

Also how do you run windows xp temporarily on vista?

-thanks

This is more suited under Computer support rather than Non-Aviation. I've moved your topic for you.

I think the only way you can run windows xp on a vista installed machine is run whats called a 'dualboot.' all it does is take a section of your vista hardrive and wipe that and then install xp on it. So now when your boot your computer, vista is the 'main' operating system and a section of hardrive is now ran by xp.

I have also forgot to mention another thing that will work if you would like to run xp on a vista machine. It's called 'formatting the hard drive.' All it does is wipe everything clean from you hardrive (it won't even boot up), and then install xp.
