If you could buy one payware aircraft, what would it be?

Post by TACrispy » 18 Apr 2008, 20:27

Just wondering, if you were buying your first, or only payware aircraft, and knowing what you know now, Which one would be the one you couldn't do without?

I'm asking because I have been looking to buy something soon and I am interested to hear what you would say.

I also see lots of mergers between panels and models. Have you ever bought a panel and model together that you liked together?

PMDG 747-400, hands down.

The 747 is at the top of my logbook, and what else to purchase but the greatest payware ever!

Overland for models. I'm not one of these fanaticals about realism. I use GPS and I'm proud of it. I like my visuals to be the best they can be!

Then you don't want Overland. Good, yes. Great? Debatable.

This is a tough one, I don't think I have an answer as I wouldn't be able to live without my payware.

I think it really depends; what is your favorite aircraft? Or, rather, what aircraft do you fly the most?

I'd definately go for the Overland package. You get almost every Airbus and Boeing in common use today and for the money, it's the payware package that offers you the most. The models are also second to none. If you prefer simpler flying then it's also the best package.

PMDG B1900D - No (good) freeware version

Now, if I twist your words and assume only ONE payware USER aircraft, then I'll tag on HTAI's Cessna Single-Engine Package, as it not only adds better AI Cessnas, but adds more flying around and helps those frames!

Id go with Carlo, with the Overland Packages. I know and understand why everyone woulc choose either PMDG or Level-D etc, but for me, when it comes to money, id like as much as i can get :)

For Sceneries, i simply couldnt live without Flytampa's Dubai Scenery. The default is just bland, whereas the real deal is simply stunning 8) .

I think overland can't count. The title says one payware aircraft and not package. So make it single aircraft. :winking:

Of course the Overland can count. There are very few payware packages that come with one plane only. The CLS DC-10 comes with all variants, the SSTSIM Concorde with pre-production models and even the PSS comes with different variants.

That doesnt make much sense :?

Why settle for one aircraft when you can have so many more? Everyone knows that Overland models are the best. People are always merging them with the competition products for a reason

Because the title says one Aircraft. Not Package. :winking:

Overland Should still count though, as you cant buy their Aircraft Seperatley.

Anyway, It all depends on what you look for in a sim. PMDG wins for realism etc etc.
