Hello,
First of all I'd like to say i'm new here and it's amazing - just the vast amount of airlines for one thing.
But while I was browsing through the airlines and fleets, destinations etc I noticed that Thai Virtual doesn't have the MD-11. Thai operated the MD-11 for a time - I'm not sure about the retirement dates but they were delivered in 1991 and 1992 as a replacement for their DC-10s.
Could we include the MD-11 in the VA?

No, not until we have discontinued routes to go along with them (if there are any at all).

Hahaha, you managed to write it in one sentence! It took me 20 minutes of re-writing my response to try and make it understandable! In the end I just gave up!DMM200 wrote:No, not until we have discontinued routes to go along with them (if there are any at all).

Re: Thai's MD-11s
The key to adding a discontinued aircraft consists of three things:
1. The airline operated the route.
2. There's a timetable available for the period.
3. There's a model and a repaint available for the route.
So far, only two of these are available. Until we find the flight schedules of the routes, we cannot add the aircraft or the route. Also, if the aircraft operated a route and was replaced by another aircraft, there will be a problem. Consider, for example, Thai's BKK-LHR. If Thai had served the route with MD-11s but then served the route with 747s, this could create conflict: the route is still served, just not with a retired aircraft.
