It finally moves
She moves
Boeing has now proceeded to taxi tests. There's a video there that shows thrust reversal and some taxiing done by the aircraft.

Wow! That thing looks good even just moving around real slow. Great looking airplane, can't wait to see its wings flex.

In honor of the 787, the new Viewpoint poll asks about further delays.

Your right. She does look great even taxiing around slowly. It was really cool watching the first part where they tested out the thrust reversers.

All very cool but nothing really substantial until her throttles are opened up and we get to see her graceful figure lift into the sky.

What is the general opinion of the four-window layout for the flight deck? I am not a fan of it (here or on the E-Series).

That is one nice looking plane. I do prefer the look of the 6 window configuaration, but I think 4 windows suit the 787 very well.

Hmm, I'm not a big fan of it. It adds a sort of 'futuristic' look to it and that's not really my taste.Aaron Robinson wrote:What is the general opinion of the four-window layout for the flight deck? I am not a fan of it (here or on the E-Series).

It suits the plane. The plane of the 21st century, reason enough to have a 21st century look.
