How many aircraft types you flew?

Post by splto » 25 Feb 2008, 19:31

If my calculations are correct you can fly on 109 different aircraft types here at SimAirline.net. (I count any variation in aircraft name as a different type, i.e. ERJ-14ER, LR and XR are three types to me). How many have you flown? I have flown 38 of them. And who has flown them all?

On Sunday I came to that exact number. Tonight the main page will be adjusted to include it.

Correction for me: it's 30. Counted a 777-200 flight like a 777-200ER one.

We have a few definitions that we use officially on our side:
type = kind of place, e.g., A340, 777
model = subtype

The number of active models is slightly higher than your number, Chris. The difference is likely in the small details. ATR 42/72 is more than just two models here, and we're counting wingleted aircraft as a separate.

I understand... just we both pointed it out in a quite unfriendly manner... But I admit that it's me who started it.

That is why I wrote: "if my calculations are correct". I just knew I had to overlook some, it simply cannot be that I counted right the first time. :wink: So how many models (and not types) are actually active?
