I recently bought the Captain Sim 757 and 757-300 expansion and as nice as the models and repaints are, the FMC is pretty much useless, as for some reason the navdata can't be updated, so you're stuck with outdated UK, Scotland and US navdata
Just bought the PSS 757 Pro on eBay for £18 as most people say that it's the one to get

I think the captain sim is kind of crappy. Well, it's very nice in detail, but it's not the best flyer in my opinion. They are both hard hitting in terms of performance. I'd go with PSS if I were you for now for flying, but I can't wait for this: http://www.qualitysim.com/products/b757/ (It will have an FMC, but not in the first payware release and there is no set date.)
Re: Which is teh best B757 payware
The best 757 payware would definitely be the PSS. The model isn't amazing, so I have merged it with the POSKY model. PSS closed down, so you will probably have to get it from a used-products website like eBay.

Exactly, PSS/POSKY hands down.COA413 wrote:The best 757 payware would definitely be the PSS. The model isn't amazing, so I have merged it with the POSKY model. PSS closed down, so you will probably have to get it from a used-products website like eBay.

Agreed.
There are certain payware aircraft that are a bit difficult to choose a brand from, it takes a few tries (and a few bucks) or some great advice given by the peeps at this forum. I think PMDG and FlyTampa should merge and go ahead and monopolize the FS industry.

Or Just Flight sells it as "757 Professional"COA413 wrote:The best 757 payware would definitely be the PSS. The model isn't amazing, so I have merged it with the POSKY model. PSS closed down, so you will probably have to get it from a used-products website like eBay.

I don't think so. You're talking about two different companies, FlyTampa makes reasonable sceneries at a decent price while on the other hand, PMDG makes stuff with ungodly prices like $80 for a MD-11. Now....if you were talking about FlyTampa and Imaginesim, I would more better agree with you.frogdude4993 wrote:I think PMDG and FlyTampa should merge and go ahead and monopolize the FS industry.

Re: Which is teh best B757 payware
The price issue with PMDG has been discussed before, it's because their products are so freakin' realistic the airlines themselves buy them.
ANYWAYS, I agree that the PSS 757 is the best, however I don't really agree on the merge. I fly exclusively out of the VC so I "endure" the model to get a more realistic experience. Merging the panel would kinda ruin the whole realism deal for me. (the model isn't even that bad, people
). It's really up to the user's preference.
