Only A320s I'll set foot on after experiences on NW and BA are JetBlue's. And if I have a choice between the A320 or the E-190 I'll take the RJ. I flew the BA A320 from LHR to MUC then the BA 757 on the return and it was like night and day.

I've flown on the A319/A320 16 times since 2005 and they're ok but definitely not the best.

BA have refurbished their A320's now, they are now MUCH more comfortable. BA need to work in their long haul fleet now, they are getting a little dirty and out of date.

One thing I absolutely hated about that A320 was the armrests did not move. That drove me crazy. Just in general though, that inter-europe service was pretty sad especially seeing as how good BA's international service is.

On NWA the window and aisle armrests don't move but the rest do, I don't know of any aircraft that all of them move.

The window side never moves. I've never been on a plane where they do. The aisle side usually moves on most of the planes I'm on. Sometimes they ask you to put it down for takeoff/landing though.

Really? I always thought their inter-European routes were on the same standards as their long-range flights... well, some months ago I've read an article on Brazilian "Flap" (aviation magazine) in which the newsman regarded BA's flights 246/247 (GRU x LHR) as "one of the best flights ever"... thought it was a rule! But indeed...
