Q&A Section?

Post by Aaron Robinson » 21 Mar 2008, 15:41

Would you be interested in having a weekly Questions & Answers section in Viewpoint? Here at Northwest, we had (for a while) a weekly question asked to the CEO, which he then answered in detail, usually to a greater level than a typical Message Boards response might be. These are typically questions about the long-term future, but here at SimAirline.net, it could be about inner workings, for instance. I'd like to be able to offer this, but there's no point in starting if there won't be a regular stream of questions to answer.

Sounds like a Good Idea.
Even if there weren't alot of people asking questions it would be still be very useful.

I like the sound of it, maybe refresh it weekly with new questions from the members.

No good if there's nothing to get it started. If there's a few you'd like me to cover at some point, I certainly can.

...Well...ummm...(maybe this isn't such a good idea  )

When is Delta getting a route map?

When is Virgin America's timetable going to get updated?

That's all I got.

Jarron, I think you gotta hold of the wrong end of the stick.

By Q&A, Aaron means questions about flying.
For example:
> How do you execute an ILS approach, with glideslope tracking ?
> DXT1, DXT3, 32-bit, Alpha Channel, Mipmaps: What are they ?

At least I think that's what he means... (I'm lost.)

No, Jarron's questions are two good ones that I would certainly address.

I believe that the questions are more going to be about where SimAirline.net is going and the future of the VA. As for actual questions regarding FS flying/aviation, that is what the boards are for!

Basically, this is the oppurtunity to ask Aaron questions which would not be answered on the boards normally.

It sounds great Aaron!
Just one Question: How do we submit a question?

Just a reminder that the Q&A section is up and running--but no new questions in two weeks. It's there if you want it, and I think it's something you'll want to keep in the long run.

Here's one for you.

Will Alaska Airlines subsidary Horizon going to all Q400's will we still offer the Q200 and CRJ700 under the retired section and offer some flights with them still?

I can answer that one... It'll depend on if any routes are cut, if they are then those will be added to the discontinued section.
If no routes are cut and Horizon simply replaces all the CRJs with Q400s... then no they won't be added.
