El Al issue

Post by ory » 29 Mar 2008, 11:53

"...El Al must detour south around Saudi Arabia on its flights from Tel Aviv to Mumbai and Bangkok, an extension that adds up to 90 min. El Al must also fly north to reach Turkish airspace before going east to Hong Kong, but this is a relatively minor deviation. Much more troublesome is El Al's Johannesburg route, which must follow the Red Sea to avoid Sudanese airspace."

If any of you want the real flightplans of ELAL i can send them over.Just personal message me and i'll give it to you.

That is helpful Ory. Have you shown Aaron the flightplans?

How many routes do you have?

Thanks Ory! I think it would be helpful to send them over to Aaron, then he might be able to put them on the site. Unless there is a copyright problem, this should be okay. Thanks again!

The preferred solution would be to host them at a personal address for download rather than a permanent fixture on our site (we have no ideal place for these).

That would be very helpful to get the flightplans for our codeshare flights only. Then upload them in a package to Avsim, or if you can't host them yourself.
