Airliners 2009

Post by Dennis » 06 Jun 2009, 00:51

Regarding Aaron's article...

I AM planning on attending (so is my cousin. We're aviation freaks). I'll see if by the end of next week I can finally buy my tickets. I'll be there for a week (I think I'll arrive Wednesday) so I'll be available all three days.

BTW, do we have to pay to enter the Convention or call or reserve a space or something? I already asked about the tours and they said I had to reserve a space for the tours, but nothing about the Convention per se.

Ah. Wish I had known the dates a couple months ago. My sister lives in Orlando and this would have been a great excuse to visit. :D

Oh damn, I'm going to be in the Poconos. What a shame. Anyway, be sure to take a lot of pictures Aaron!

Not going.

1. No money.
2. I'll be recuperating from a two-week vacation to two BBQ Lands (albeit the second one is only for an hour) and the money deficit that would put me in.
3. Where is an 18 year old gonna get lodging?
4. And money?

I won't be going for obvious reasons...

^^ Not sure if that is referring to the actual convention or not... I'm sure Aaron or Nick would know.

There is usually a small (~$5) entrance fee.

If I don't have to work and I'm not driving back to Iowa, I'll try to come down on Friday or Saturday.

I can't make it for obvious reasons (travel). The closest I would probably get to going is if it is held in Texas somewhere in August, although it was held in Texas last year but too early for when I was over.

I might see what I can do. How close is it to MCO? That would be the only big issue and flight loads.

Roughly a 20-45 minute drive from the airport depending on road conditions. It's based on International Drive...not too far from the airport but it's the looking for the hotel that can make it longer.
