Re: Last flights for simairline
We actually have almost two months exactly left to file flights. To be honest, I haven't given much thought to what my last official SimAirline flight will be.
Re: Last flights for simairline
So we close at the end of April not the beginning of, well I have little more time then I though then, but I will keep the above as my last official.

Re: Last flights for simairline
I think I'm going to do what a lot of others will do, and fly my first flight again. Birmingham to Paris, in a BA RJ100.

Re: Last flights for simairline
I'm planning mine to be the return (or actually outbound) flight of my first flight on SimAirline.net
Swissair ZRH-CAI...my first was CAI-ZRH
I'm currently in Zurich, so, if I got time this month, which I really hope so, I'll try to fly around Europe a bit in my A320

Re: Last flights for simairline
If I have time, which is difficult to find at the moment, working 70 hour weeks, I would like to fly the opposite of my first flight. (well the one that's logged, the actual first I'd have to look up) Which would be Seattle-Minneapolis, seeing as that was Northwest's biggest base, it would be fitting.

Good idea Ali and Nick, I think I'll follow suit. I'll have to find my original logbook for that one!

Re: Last flights for simairline
Unfortunately, for me, my first flight was an ERJ flight from MCO-MIA, so I think I'll make it a bit more original by returning to my home base: SJU. And what better way to return there than from MCO? Now, if only I could get off from DME...

Re: Last flights for simairline
I've got quite a few flights I would like to do before closing, but will try to end up back in Miami where I started from. I'm only off 2 days a week (Mon, Tues and even then, have honey do me a favor list to do). Even when the run is over, will continue to do flights from the different timetables

Much thanks to Fraser J. for making a great banner!!
Re: Last flights for simairline
I will be flying the same two flights as my first two flights way back in
Nov 2000. I flew Virgin Sun Manchester to Tenerife return. We wern't allowed to fly
the heavies til we had 50 hours of flight time back then.

Re: Last flights for simairline
That's a good idea to fly the return of your first flight. It's almost as though SimAirline.net has been one massive journey (I know that sounds a bit cheesy, but it's true), and you are heading back to where you started from, in my case my nearest airport, Birmingham. I'm sure the final flight will be very different however; I think I flew VFR on my first flight and had very little knowledge of any procedures.

Re: Last flights for simairline
And so I did, could only fly my A320 to Dusseldorf and back. And planning the Zurich-Cairo flight for tomorrow or after. However, a very interesting thing to note....this flight is going to my 330th flight at SimAirline.net, pretty symbolic for meAli Abou-Zeid wrote:I'm planning mine to be the return (or actually outbound) flight of my first flight on SimAirline.net

I'll just park there until I figure out if I want to join another VA or just Freelance using the same rules as we do
here at Sim Airlines.

Re: Last flights for simairline
Prepping for my final SimAirline.net flight. Paris to Coventry BA RJ100. Funny that Coventry is my home airport, yet the only time I've flown to / from it has been my very first flight. So when I return back to Coventry the last three years will seem like one giant journey acorss the world.

Re: Last flights for simairline
Shame I'm too busy to actually fly. I can't guarantee that I will fly, but I'll bring my joystick and hard drives along just in case. That final flight will have me in SJU.

Re: Last flights for simairline
I too think I will fly to my hometown. In three years of on and off flying here at simairline I have never flown in or out of Fargo. Once I get back to MSP I am going to fly the Delta MSP-FAR route and back a few times this week most likely.
