New Alitalia Overland Paint
Hey Guys,
Just finished an Alitalia paint ive been working on for a few days, after i got news that Tom Collins wasnt sure if he would be continuing his version. So I painted one myself. Anyway, heres some shots of the Overland 777 that will be included in the avsim upload.

Thanks guys, comments mean alot
. It should be up on avsim in an hour or so if anyone wants to take a look.
To answer your question Alex, im not sure if the 777's are going to be repainted, I havent seen any that have already been painted. However, thats just me making an assumption based on their current situation

Re: New Alitalia Overland Paint
Ah thats a shame to hear, as the Overland 767 is the Overland aircraft I have the least repaints for
Still really want an ANA and Alitalia one, and a better BA one too as the one I have has a strange creamy tint to it

Re: New Alitalia Overland Paint
If you have the Level-D 767, theres a fair amount of decent Alitalia Paints for that model

Re: New Alitalia Overland Paint
Yeah I do have the LevelD 767, but I've given up on it for the time being. I'm too satisfied with my Overland package and its simplicity

Re: New Alitalia Overland Paint
If you extract the textures in the Level-D Repaint loader or whatever its called, you can copy the new texture folder into the overland model, make the necassary .cfg changes, and it'll work perfectly

Re: New Alitalia Overland Paint
Are Level-D textures fully compatible with Overland?
I think we had this discussion in another topic.
Edit: Didn't see last post.

Re: New Alitalia Overland Paint
I think they work perfectly, the few that I had tried (Gulf Air etc) seemed to work with no difference with them.

Re: New Alitalia Overland Paint
Looks amazing! I might just need to schedule in an Alitalia 772 flight just to use that!
Re: New Alitalia Overland Paint
I tried that but no success.DeanClay wrote:If you extract the textures in the Level-D Repaint loader or whatever its called, you can copy the new texture folder into the overland model, make the necassary .cfg changes, and it'll work perfectly
Could you tell me what changes I need to make and where? Also, (and yes this has been discussed before lol), the filenames of all the BMPs are different to the Overland ones, so are you sure they're compatible?

Re: New Alitalia Overland Paint
The ones i have used worked perfectly.
As for the cfg changes, an example of my cfg entry for a transferred Air Canada 767, is:
SO really, its easier to copy an entry in the Overland cfg, then just copy and paste the texture folder over, and change the texture etc entries in the cfg.

Code: Select all

texture=AirCanNC

atc_flight_number=851

Re: New Alitalia Overland Paint
Just one question, why did you repaint a PAYWARE model? Not everybody has that model, I think the paint is wonderful but I would be happier if you could do that paint on the MJ777DeanClay wrote:Hey Guys,

Re: New Alitalia Overland Paint
The MelJet model is rubbish though. Dean doesn't want to paint this livery onto an inferior model just because more people can use it, when he has the Overland package.
Lots of people have that package, and it's a good thing he painted it on the best model there is.
