The beginning and end of an era! NW & QF
As the title suggests, it's both the beginning of a new era with the A380 at Qantas, and the end of an era, the Northwest Cargo division and it's 747-200Fs. (I will be doing the charter 747-251Bs as well)
So let's get this going.... Enjoy!

(I still prefer, by FAR, the old classic 747s to the A380, hands down.)
Thanks for looking!

Saw this exact view on a recent real-life VX flight. Crazy how many people stopped in the terminal to watch it push back.Northwestdc9 wrote:Qantas 12 Los Angeles - Sydney A380

I have to agree with you, the classic 74s are some of the best looking planes out there.

Great Shots Nick!
I know it's not your fault, but the night lighting on the QF A3880 isn't very good.

Re: The beginning and end of an era! NW & QF
I agree and it's, in general, why I hate night shots. FS just does a TERRIBLE job of simulating darkness and unless the model is PMDG level, the night lighting doesn't help things. It's a shame that the only Qantas A380 flights depart at night out of LAX.FJ flyer wrote:Great Shots Nick!

Great shots, what panel are you using with the Overland model?

Great shots of the 747.....always good to see a Classy Lady in action.
As for the A-380...still trying to get used to seeing that aircraft around. I tell ya, looks like a pregnant oversize whale.
Your pics of it were good....don't get me wrong

If I recall, it's the standard Overland panel as that is the best currently (it sucks) available. I did try merging it with the Feelthere/Wilco A340-600 but that didn't work out unfortunately.flybywire22 wrote:Great shots, what panel are you using with the Overland model?
