Well for my birthday my parents gave me a trip to Detroit. I just hung out at KDTW today and I had a good time talking to pilots and being around planes. I had a very smooth flight leaving chicago. The FAA was on board evaluating the pilots so that may have had something to do with it. The flight back was a little windy and one of the hardest and fastest landings I have ever been apart of.

It seems like you have more fun taking pictures instead of enjoying the flight.
Nice set.

Ehh well I was kind of disappointed with it, it really looked more old than it did new. Nothing special really. It did have a Ruby Tuesedays and TGI Fridays in it. I ate at the Fridays and it was great. Its kind of boring but I still loved being around planes.

I was in Detroit yesterday and completely forgot about the new terminal! (was on NW of course)

Should've taken a picture of the horrific blue jetways.

LOL I just got on a Southwest flight to go home to Chicago because all our NW flights to ORD/MDW were now over sold due to the weather. So I got to see this new terminal.. The blue is ugly. It looks like a Terminal built from left overs from another construction site. You know... gotta save money!

That's what it was... a cheap building for the loser airlines in DTW.

NW/DL is the prize and will get the money.

Just look at the Edward H. McNamara Terminal, which is the base of all NWA/DL flights. It's absolutely stunning, and it even has an indoor tram!

McNamara is easily the nicest terminal in the country right now, it's state of the art, comfortable, spacious, clean, on-time and best of all it's beautiful on top of everything else.

Makes transiting in DTW a very pleasant experience.

After all, DTW is one of the best in the United States in terms of customer satisfaction.

I must say the terminal could be navigated by a bag of rocks. It was very convenient and easy to find your way around.

Sorry, I got to stop you there. Terminal 4 is the cleanest and overall best in the U.S. along with terminals 1 and 8 (don't know about 5) at JFK. But the nicest easily goes to San Francisco's terminal. But McNamara is still the most convenient out of all of them, I'll give you that.

JFK?!!? Hahahaha. In all seriousness, you've got to be kidding?

San Francisco is definitely very nice but I don't know if it's overall better than McNamara.

I don't mean in convenience if that's what you think. I meant in cleanliness and the structures themselves.
