I wish this was something I had thought of collecting when I was still a globe trotter. :(

Hint: Not one of those cards in my collection were added by me flying on that plane. In fact, I've only seen five of those cards on the plane in person. Never took 'em though - eBay and airliners.net users :)

They would be more valuable to me if I collected them myself. :)

That's neat. I saw one for the Superliner cars on an Amtrak train (Capitol Limited if you wanna get particular), and I wish I could've taken one.

They're all basically the same thing, except the airline and the aircraft. The procedures are standard on basically every airplane. I have looked at it from every angle and it's not something that screams collectible, at least to me. Who knows if later on I also get into the habit of collecting them?

Now currencies, that's a different story :P

For the record, mine our bought from eBay and private sellers. A few of 'em never got introduced to the seat pocket. A huge majority of 'em are from defunct airlines or have been later updated. I NEVER take a card from the seat pocket; always ask the f/a (and got denied, but granted we were all in a hurry) or eBay ;-).

How funny would it be if somebody said they peeled a safety card off or a Ryanair seat. :|

I FINALLY GOT 'EM!!!

Addition to the Collection:
Midwest 717 (6x)
Midwest Connect CRJ-200 (2x)

Still enroute to my mailbox, then I'm gonna take one of each and sell the rest at at least $2.25 per card.

eBay rules. 8)

Addition to the collection...

Midwest 717 (not from eBay)
Midwest MD-80

Some guy wanted to get rid of 'em, so I happily obliged him and now they're mine! Guess I'll have another Midwest 717 card to sell/trade!

Aaron I agree with you. I have always wanted to collect cards but never wanted to steal them straight from the pockets.

BUT if I ask a flight attendant if the airline would spare one for my collection do you think s/he'd let me have one?

Has anyone ever obtained them by asking?
