Just One for Now

Post by seahawks7757 » 11 May 2010, 20:08

I am deeply in love with this shot and thought I would share it. She landed yesterday with gear doors down again. Not sure why. Already in the Q at A.Net!

Is that left main gear door hanging a little lower than the right, or is it just my imagination and the curve of the runway surface? I suppose they could be testing landings with the main gear doors open to make sure there is adequate clearance between the doors and the runway on touchdown. *shrug*

Yes it does look a lot lower. It may just be that the plane came down heavy on its left main gear, but the angle does look quite sharp if that is the case.

Thanks guys, main reason I found it odd was when they called on the ground on the ops frequency the ops/testing center seemed surprised about the doors being down leading me to wonder if it were planned or not.

I'm thinking that something is not right with the doors as one seems to be open more
than the other, it seems to be hanging more verical. It might be
just the angle though.
