Recent ANC trip

Post by seahawks7757 » 15 Jul 2010, 12:12

Finally I made it up to the final frontier again. A great day trip that I would recomend for anyone. 12 hours I was there was by like a flash and the 10 hours of shooting produced about 800 shots or so. Heat haze was a little bit of an issue but worked through it. Here are the first few that I have gotten done though. This weekend and month is busy though with McChord on Sat and Sun and Red Flag on Mon followed by open base up in ANC on July 31st and Aug 1st and thinking about going back up there for that. But here are the shots(Also No snow this time to deal with :) )-

Who would have thought that Alaska Airlines fly's to Alaska?

Thanks Tim! I have been really working on learning and taking the critsism and running with it unlike a lot of other people who hate it. I love it cause I look at it as I can improve off of it.

Great shots!

Is it just me, or does the tarmac roller thing in shot number 2 look to be levitating?

That does look like it's levitating! Hey, we have awesome construction equipment up here haha. Those shots turned out great, Brandon. I like the C-46 shot. Was that the one where I kept going and you guys stopped? Also, how'd the shots of the DC-6 turn out?

Sorry I couldn't have made it earlier that day. Hopefully when you come up at the end of the month I got plenty of time to stick around.

Intresting observation there Alex. Never even noticed that.

And Matt it was the DC-6 we stopped for if I remember correct but I really can't as it was 110 days ago lol. And I am so looking forward Artic Thunder. F-22 and Blues in that thick Alaska Air. I see Vapor Heaven!!!
