Avatars Refreshed

Post by Northwestdc9 » 15 Mar 2008, 03:23

Following the recent trend at SimAirline.net of refreshing various parts at SimAirline.net to higher quality, many of the avatars on the Message Boards have been replaced with improved versions that are larger and feature less pixellation. In addition, there are numerous new avatars available for aircraft manufacturers, engine manufacturers, and airline alliances. Enjoy!

Because the old avatars have been removed, Message Boards users will need to select the new version manually through the User Control Panel. As always, the maximum image dimensions for avatars continues to be 80 x 80 pixels.

I've tried selecting the Boeing one but I keep getting a "submitted form was invalid" warning.

Josh,

Like submitting a new post, all changes require you to view the page for a set length of time before submitting an entry (I believe it's at least five seconds).

Great job! Will take SkyTeam for the moment. BTW, where is Fokker ? A bigger ANA wouldn't be bad also...

So when exactly is it bad to have the same avatar? Because, that's how you guys make it look like. (Though knowing the boards, someone will gasp and eek and notify me that the Boeing avatar is already being used).

Go to the User Control Panel at the top right of the screen, then select 'profile' and 'edit avatar'.

Nick has gone ahead and released two more new avatars: CFM, for the best-selling airliner jet engine, and Fokker, for our Dutch pilots.
