Now, here's something you may have heard. Those that have me on Facebook know that I'm very outspoken, but nothing has annoyed me more than the comments Pat Robertson has made about Haiti getting what they deserve for "making a pact with the devil during their independence battle". Now people are going on about how they practice voodoo and because of that the earthquake happened, blah blah blah.
Anyone who knows better would first look for some history and see that:
1. About 95% of Haiti's population is Christian, with 80% of it being catholic.
2. Voodoo, though an official religion of Haiti, is just barely practiced by 50% of the population alongside their Christian beliefs.
I'm just boiling in anger here because aren't these people (not Haitians) who tell us that God is an all loving person? Why would they punish an already impoverished country with such a big tremor? The Middle East does not belief in God, so why didn't the earthquake happen over there? Venezuelans worship God, so why don't they explain why today their country suffered a moderate quake (5.0+ in magnitude)?
I'm sorry to build a religious debate here, but I want to see your views on this. That and it's time to have just one last boards battle before the boards slowly die off...
