Boeing has set the date of the 747-8's first flight :
In a related announcement, Boeing has scheduled 10 a.m. PT Monday, Feb. 8 for the maiden voyage for 747-8 Freighter, the 15th version of the venerable jumbojet that goes back to 1969. The flight, whose eventuality depends successful taxi tests between now and Monday, will be webcast live.
The 747-8 Freighter will carry up to 154 tons or 16 per cent more than the 747-400 Freighter. It features redesigned wings and new General Electric GEnx 2B engines.
Cargolux is slated to be the first customer and is planning to take deliveries of the first units in the second half of this year. It claims it has a firm order for 13 747-8 Freighters with options for 10 more.

But hopefully, if he's on again, they do the same thing an only pipe him in on Stereo Right.

I pulled out the right headphone and listened to ATC with the left!

That's the point. I can't. Not that I don't want to, simply a class rule. It's with the Do-as-I-say-or-else-get-out kind of professor. He doesn't want us with laptops.
Skip the class? Sure, until my assistance grade drops like a rock (already have one absence and justified, but does he care? NO...)
Step outside for a moment? Sure, but how do I get in again? (He closes the door. You can get out, but you ain't getting back in)
I guess YouTube will have to do.

Of course it's during school. Typical!
Very glad to see another 747 gracing the skies. The true Queen.

Ack...missed it., Whatever. I'm sure that won't be the last Boeing jet to have a first flight.
And no, DVR's fall under the definition of handheld, devices not allowed during class.

She flies (flew)! For me, when I got home, I thought the flight had already happened, so I decided to take a very long nap, when in reality I could have seen it live, dang. Anyway it definitely is much quieter than any other 747 I've seen and much more graceful IMO.

Thanks Fraser Jeffery for the beautiful avatar!

Funny...if it weren't for the fact that we know it's a 747-8, I'd swear it was an A340-600 when seen from behind.
