Yes, although no-ones computer will be able to handle it. That's why they have AI models and so many repaints for them.
Brandon, weren't you planning on filling your skies with PMDG 747s at one point?

You will probably get 1fps. Just think how hard it will be to upgrade and find repaints for all the aircraft. There is a reason nobody does this and there is a reason why low polygon AI models have been made.

Designers now make the models so detailed that if your computer had to load 50 detailed models it would slow it down immensely. It's fine to have default aircraft as AI because they are RUBBISH.alma343 wrote:what will it not handle?sanins192 wrote:Yes, although no-ones computer will be able to handle it. When I used to use Ultimate Traffic 2007, I replaced all the mainline carriers with addon aircraft (payware and freeware). It was great, but it was much too much hassle to set up.
Re: Normal FS AIrcraft as AI?
Quality has absolutely NOTHING to do with computer performance. Why is it that AIA's aircraft, for example, do MUCH better than PAI's? In fact, for every one PAI aircraft, you can have 2-3 AIA, DJC, TFS, etc. aircraft of the same type flying around with the same performance! It's how the model's made. Less polygons=better performance. Also, have you ever noticed how AI textures are nothing more than _t and _l? Anything and everything needed to be textured is on that one bitmap. UI aircraft don't need their textures like that as they're not geared for as great performance as an AI plane as you're only loading one 100,000-poly aircraft and not 50 of 'em.FJ flyer wrote:Designers now make the models so detailed that if your computer had to load 50 detailed models it would slow it down immensely. I would give anything to get custom AI, but it's too complicated. I'd have to dedicate an entire week for that...I'd rather stick with PAI and WoAI. I'm also considering getting Ultimate Traffic.

For the love of cows, don't!
If you value your time, and your life, I wouldn't bother with UT. Trust me, every night for weeks I spent hours tweaking and customising traffic. I had 50N 737s, Overland aircraft, POSky aircraft and so many quality UI aircraft as AI traffic. Sure it looked great and with FSX I'd sit there during flights just plane spotting, the AI was so good (*sigh* I wish there was traffic viewing in FS9, that's the feature of FSX I miss the most), but it was such a time consuming and tedious task that I just gave up and opted for an all-in-one, single installer solution which I'm more than happy with.

WoAI has so many airlines you could get by. Plus, they're churning out more packages more often.
