Free publicity (though Manchester is a busy airport). Reminds me of when US Airways threatened to cut PHL-PEK because PHL was going to give DL permission to use Terminal A East.

According to Manchester Airport, the fees in question are £3 ($5) per passenger.

Given Ryanairs strange cost cutting schemes, and hidden charges, I think Ryanair wont be happy until the fees are down to half a crown... (or 30p)

Well it still is quite busy, fourth in the UK. But yeah I was there the other day. Runway 23L - 05R used to be closed only between 12 - 3 during the day; then it was changed to 10:30 - 4! And when I was there yesterday, me and my mate stayed until 5 and they didn't come over to 23L!

What's going on? Why build a runway if you're not going to use it?!
