Airbus A319s Coming to Milwaukee

Subject: Airbus A319s Coming to Milwaukee

Were happy to share the news that five Frontier Airbus A319 aircraft will begin flying from Milwaukee in early November.

The Republic Airways acquisition of Frontier is expected to close October 1, allowing us to benefit from new opportunities to rebuild our network and better serve our customers. With access to additional aircraft sizes and types, both Midwest and Frontier will be better able to match aircraft size to passenger demand to ensure we are operating most efficiently. As this companywide fleet reallocation is implemented, we will also see five E190s that are currently flown as Midwest Connect operate from Denver to serve some of Frontiers shorter-haul routes, including Omaha and Boise.

We anticipate the A319 aircraft will operate on some long-haul, high-density routes Ft. Myers, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Phoenix and Tampa as well as in new markets yet to be announced. Well let you know when additional details are available. The aircraft will be operated by Frontier as an expansion of our existing codeshare agreement, and the service will be joint marketed as part of that agreement.

The A319s are configured with 136 all-leather seats in a 3-by-3 all-economy configuration, with DIRECTV in each headrest available for a fee which our customers will surely enjoy. Midwest passengers flying on Frontier A319s will find many of the same amenities, including our popular chocolate chip cookies; nonetheless we will be working hard to help our customers fully understand the new service opportunities we can offer as part of the larger Republic family.

Jee, that's a surprise.

However I do hope to see them eventually bring those A319s into Midwest proper and repaint them, add signature service, etc. That will be sweet.
I really miss those Midwest MD80s, man those were just unbeatable. Good to see a decent replacement coming online though.

No, they will be operated as Frontier flights on Frontier painted, staffed, flown, etc aircraft but on Midwest's routes under a codeshare type arrangement.

Sort of like Midwest Flight 903 to Fort Lauderdale, operated by Frontier.
Same like they do with the regionals, just taken a little bit further.

This sorta of operation was done alot in the 1960's. DL did it with PA and I believe Braniff
