DL799 JFK-NRT?

Hello,

I would like some information regarding flight DL799 JFK-NRT. This flight does not appear on the Skyteam timetable but appears as scheduled for 1240 today (Tuesday 24th Nov 09) on the flightstats website. Why is this not showing up on the Skyteam timetable? I hope it exists as that is supposed to be my next scheduled virtual flight once I land in JFK on VS003. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I took a peek at that city-pair, and there is a NW799 flight that operates from JFK to NRT that is operated by Delta. So even though a Delta aircraft is used (and Delta owns Northwest), you would need to file the flight as a Northwest flight.

Be careful when using sites like Flightstats or Flightaware to choose flights, as they are not always 100% accurate in their information. It is a good idea to corroborate their information with another source (the airline's own schedule PDF usually works well).

Thanks for that, so I would file the flight as NW799 using a Delta Boeing 777-200ER?

Exactly correct. The flight is currently marketed today as NW799, but Delta codeshares on the flight as DL799. Flight numbers are aligning right now until the NW code disappears at the end of January.
