Got a new idea for SimAirline.net? We'd like to hear it.

Why not go on Vatsim with thousands of people flying? The chances of anyone seeing another member flying when in multiplayer is very slim, so it will be very lonely.

Right, unless we opened a server (unlikely) and organized fly-ins (more unlikely), you wouldn't see anyone. You're better off on VATSIM whether you want to fly with other users, or do events. There are plenty of both.

Isn't that the fun of flying with real people?

Yeah really, no other point.
It's not hard, it just takes practice.

For us to host a Vatsim like server would cost a fortune and that's not going to happen.

I think he meant flying on the FS multiplayer option; not creating a Vatsim-style server to run off.

Right, I understand what he means. I was at a VA before this one and they had such a server, but there was never more than one or two people on it. It just wasn't worth the trouble.

I was aiming that comment at Nick, but hey!

What are the chances of meeting another SimAirline.net member online? I've only been on Vatsim once before, so I wonder if the regulars have seen any other members online.

I imagine it happens once in a while, I flew with Brandon Jones on a training flight a few years ago. That was fun.
